Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how cloudpractitionerprep.com ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and stores information when you use our website. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password via Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We store your display name, email, and account creation timestamp in Firestore.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We never receive or store your credit card number, CVV, or billing address. Stripe provides us with a record that a payment was completed and associates it with your account. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.

Diagnostic leads. If you complete the free diagnostic and submit your email address, we store that email, your diagnostic score, your weakest domain, and the timestamp of your consent in Firestore under the diagnostic_leads collection. Submission requires explicit checkbox consent.

Testimonials. If you submit a review, we store your name, role, quote, optional self-reported exam score, and the timestamp in Firestore. Reviews are held in a moderation queue before publication.

Usage data. We do not run our own analytics. Third-party scripts loaded by the page (Firebase SDK, Google Fonts CDN) may collect standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, and referring URL under their own privacy policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session
  • To gate access to paid practice tests based on your payment status
  • To send study tips or course updates if you opted in via the diagnostic form (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To moderate and display approved testimonials
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Storage and Security

Account data, payment status, testimonials, and diagnostic leads are stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase project: aws-ccp-prep). Access is restricted by Firestore Security Rules — each user can only read and write their own data. Admin-only data is further restricted by an allowlisted admin collection.

Authentication is provided by Firebase Authentication. Passwords are hashed and stored by Firebase; we do not handle raw passwords.

Your study-plan checkbox state and plan configuration are stored only in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not set marketing or tracking cookies. Firebase Authentication uses browser localStorage and/or session cookies to maintain your signed-in state. Our study plan feature uses localStorage to persist your plan settings and checkbox progress — this data stays on your device.

Google Fonts is loaded from Google's CDN, which may log standard request information per Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Firebase / Google Cloud — for authentication, database, and infrastructure services
  • Stripe — for payment processing

We do not share your information with advertisers or other third parties.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Diagnostic leads are retained indefinitely for business purposes. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@cloudpractitionerprep.com. We will respond within 30 days. Please note that deletion of your account will remove your practice-test access.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
